Kathleen, I can't thank you enough for all you've done for my little group of golfers, my dear friends. We have all so looked forward to our trip and cannot imagine it starting in a more hospitable place. Your warmth and generousity made everything wonderful.

Charming guest house: beautiful property, great sitting rooms, comfortable guest room including beds, cozy well-stocked library, delicious and plentiful breakfast, pleasant staff, knowledgeable and helpful hostess--we are definitely planning for a longer stay here on our next trip.

Killarney: Kathleens Country House 'A Jewel in the Irish Crown'

This is a beautifully kept and run establishement. Nothing is any trouble to Kathleen and her team. Everything is spotlessly clean and tastefully furnished. To say Kathleen is knowledgeable about the area is a huge misrepresentation. What she doesn't know is not worth knowing. We took her advice and went on the Gap on Dunloe tour which was our favourite bit of Ireland so far. Also superb recommendations for places to eat. I won't divulge them here. You'll have to ask her yourself!! The only down side was not being able to stay longer due to being fully booked, so make sure to book early.

The pot of gold at the end of the Rainbow! Kathleens is the perfect place to stay in Ireland, great breakfasts, the best power showers in Ireland, top of the range beds and Kathleen herself to look after you throughout your stay. Kathleen's personality and character epitomizes true Irish hospitality at its best. What an Ambassador for Ireland! She obviously loves what she does and delights in sharing all of her local knowledge and passion for her own wonderful area with you.
We came as guests but departed as friends. We felt so welcome and made feel so much at home from the moment we arrived. The area also had so much to see and do that we simply had to extend our stay. From the time you arrive until you have to depart, Kathleen and her staff are the perfect hosts. You feel like you've always known them. Kathleen will help you & answer any of your queries. She also appears to have a priority booking for the best tables at the best local restaurants. You will get routing maps on best routes to your golf courses or for your touring routes for the Ring of Kerry, Dingle, etc.
Kathleens surpassed our expectations. The location is perfect, so easy to find just off the N22 and right at the start of the Ring of Kerry, Dingle Peninsula and so central to numerous top golf courses and yet only at the edge of Town.
What amazing gardens! we could sit all evening sipping our tea, coffee and wines enjoying the tranquility. The weather was very kind to us throughout our stay with Kathleen.
What was 'the icing on the cake' for us was when my wife mentioned that her friend here in the USA had a sister Eileen, a nun in Ireland, but had no name nor the exact convent. Still, she expressed a wish that it would have been nice to say 'Hello' had we the contact information. But we really felt that this is would be like 'looking for the neeedle in the haystack'. By the time we had returned that evening not only had Kathleen got the name and location of the nun in question but had her telephone number awaiting us.
What more can I say other than we will be back. I am delighted to highly recommend Kathleens Country House.

Kathleen and her staff epitomize the genuine, refreshing hospitality of the Irish and Kerry County in the most affable and commodious of surroundings. The Country House is immaculate, charming, bright, and comfortable in every aspect. The services provided by Kathleen and the staff extend far beyond the norm - the guests' desires and plans are accommodated with alacrity and utmost competence.
The charm of this B&B lies in its combination of attentiveness to the individual, the grace and interest of its owner, the comfort of its accommodations, and the eagerness to assist the guests in every possible way. We thoroughly enjoyed our first visit in 2003 and found the same splendid reception and hospitality to abound just two weeks ago. I most highly recommend a stay with Kathleen and her courteous and helpful crew should one wish to enjoy the Irish experience to the fullest. Killarney and Kerry County are Kathleen country!

Killarney; Kathleens Country House: 'Fabulous Boutique Hotel Experience'

My husband and I had the opportunity to stay at a lovely boutique hotel in Killarney Ireland, called Kathleens Country House. Katheleen O'Regan-Sheppard, the owner and operator of this top notch quality establishment, was a gracious hostess and gave us a wealth of information on the sites and attractions of the immediate and surrounding areas. She managed to get us reservations in the finest eateries and also got us tee off times at surrounding golf courses without a glitch. The is type of service is seldom found!
We were delighted with our stay and would recommend her fine establishment without hesitation to anyone visiting the Killarney area. The breakfasts that were served on crisp white linen by very pleasant staff were fabulous and started us off on a very welcoming day. Kathleens Country Kitchen is a "must stay at" accommodation if one wants to feel ultra special.
